Target danger classification
Understanding our classification system for potentially dangerous targets and future opt-in settings.
Why classify dangerous targets?
Opinions vary in the remote viewing community about which targets pose psychic, psychological, or energetic risks. Some practitioners avoid certain targets entirely. Others actively seek them out.
Psychically protected military sites, malevolent entities, or traumatic events might create unwanted energetic connections. They might cause psychological distress. Or they might not affect you at all. Your experience is your own.
Current policy: No dangerous targets exist on Social RV. All current targets are safe. We're building opt-in settings that will let you choose specific danger categories in the future.
Four danger categories
Psychically protected military installations
Active military bases with classified operations. Facilities rumored to house extraterrestrial technology. Sites that may employ psychic countermeasures.
- •Area 51 underground facilities
- •S-4 facility at Papoose Lake
- •Dulce underground facilities
These sites may be protected by psychic countermeasures or energetic barriers. Viewers report disorientation and energetic backlash.
Malevolent or evil entities
Entities associated with malevolent intent. Beings that feed on fear or negative energy. Creatures linked to deception and evil.
- •Mothman
- •Skinwalkers
- •Wendigo
- •Shadow people
Attention works both ways. Focus on something malevolent, and it might notice you back. Many traditions warn that seeking these entities invites contact.
Pain, suffering, and gore
Extreme physical trauma. Torture or extreme violence. Medical experiments involving extreme suffering.
- •MKUltra program experiments
- •Targets focused on torture or extreme suffering
Traumatic content affects you psychologically. Vicarious trauma is real. So are empathic distress and intrusive memories.
Evil or corrupting energies
Demonic possession or entity attachment. Sites associated with curses or malevolent energies. Practices involving dark entities.
- •Demonic possession experiences
- •Skinwalker Ranch phenomena
Corrupting energies can affect your energetic field, emotions, and spiritual well-being. Attachment happens. So do negative life impacts.
What is NOT considered dangerous
Most targets are safe. Mysterious doesn't mean dangerous. Unusual doesn't mean risky.

Decision framework
Five questions for evaluating any target:
Does it involve an active military installation that may be psychically defended?
Does it involve an entity specifically described as evil, malevolent, or corrupting?
Is the primary focus on graphic violence, extreme suffering, or torture?
Does it involve demonic forces, possession, or corrupting energies?
Could focusing on this target create an energetic connection to something harmful?

Future implementation
Currently, no dangerous targets exist on Social RV. All available targets are safe.
We plan to add dangerous targets in the future using a dangerous field (true or false) based on these criteria. Here's how we will implement this system:
- We will let you choose. Opt in to specific danger categories or keep them all blocked.
- We will respect different beliefs. Not everyone agrees on what's dangerous.
- We will prevent surprises. You'll know what you're viewing before you start.
- We will default to safe. Uncertainty means not dangerous.
